SCULPTOR-PAINTER-PRINTMAKER...
Happy, the 14 who attended our Saturday DEMO! We were treated to a very informative show of linoleum block printmaking.
Chad included the ancient process of "chine colle".
"Chine-collé roughly translates from French, chine = tissue and collé meaning glue or paste. "Chine" because the thin paper traditionally used in the process was imported to Europe from China, India and/or Japan."
(thank you, wikipedia)
The final result was a delightful variation on his CHAIR print with 3 different printed papers receiving the strong black and white graphic.
